The M5s screen is clear ( similar to the M3s) and sensitive. Why do you need "rentina"?

@Shanling:
I know it's a bad idea, but is a Shanling M3s with touch screen and the home-made Shanling firmware conceivable for the future? The sound characteristics of the M3s are perfect for my ears but I keep catching myself as I want to navigate with my finger on the retina display every time :)

We have M0 and M5s, there definitely seems to be space for some model or two in between :wink:

M5s is the way. I tried it last weekend. It's a nice upgrade - more clear mids and highs, comparing to M3s, slightly better dynamics. The difference is not very large, but it is hearable.
Touchscreen works nice and battery life is promising.

@Shanling the wheel on my M3s just fall off, I can put it back on again but now does not click anymore. My M3s is unusable :disappointed:
If it’s still under warranty, send it for repair. This happened to my first M3s early on. Shanling said they had a batch with bad wheels and since corrected it (early on). If it’s one of those, surely Shanling would most likely replace it even if not under warranty.

What shop did you purchase from?

MusicTeck should have a really good customer support and help you, if you got it from them :)

Penon Audio Store.

No, it's been more than a year now, so no warranty. I guess ny unit it's from that bad batch.
