Hello everybody, sorry for delay, I was in LA for CanJam SoCal, meanwhile my colleague posted new firmware that should be fixing the card reading problem.

Please update to latest firmware and test it, if everything is working correctly now.

Alternative link for M2s firmware: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VQvVZGzpI_T9siLq6X5SaVChMYXhuqwk

There are update instructions included inside zip file.

Hey Shanling,
I found a new glitch. I'm sorry to report....
My player is just below 100% battery charge. It charged overnight, the battery bars still show full. However, twice in the last hour after resuming from pause it shows the "low battery" warning for a moment, the battery bar is empty, but then when the message disapears the battery bar is full again.

You seem to have fixed the SD card error though!

EDIT. This just happened again but this time it said "Battery Depleted" and the player shut off completely! I had to restart the player and it's completely fine, still full battery bars.

EDIT 2: I've paid attention to this issue more. This happens when the player is paused for several minutes and goes into standby mode. When you wake it up, it says battery depleted and shuts down.

Do not forget me? Here is Custom fw based on 3.20
Everything is as usual: fixed English by gLer, good font, optimized speed and ability to load custom themes from the SD:/res folder.
Enjoy.

P.S. You can donate on the site in the signature. This is much appreciated.

.

I would like to confirm a battery level indicator problem also. After about one hour of playing the battery bar was showing very, very low battery life left.

If it is not one thing its another!

Haven't update mine yet.

Regarding battery level indicator issue, hope in next firmware update, Shanling can roll out battery level with percentage.

I have also experienced the "battery depleted" bug, it would shut down the player almost every time I resumed from a screen off state.

I rolled back to 3.10 though, and I'll be fine waiting for the next update.

Other bugs I've noticed in the firmware are that sometimes the beginning of a song will not be audible and I'll miss a bit of a track's intro, and the scrolling will frequently jump two places in one click.

Well the issue with the unit missing a bit of the first track intro (which is really the same as missing the beginning of a song methinks) is nothing new for this unit. Shanling so far has not shown an interest in addressing this issue. Maybe if enough of us complain it will will be added to their "to do" list. I hope so.

Since I was not having any memory card issues I rolled back a revision also.

Oh, we have it on our to do list, it's also on list of things we fixed on M0. Unfortunately for M2s, putting it on To Do list and sending that to HiBy is all what we can do at Shanling.

Regarding battery problem, reported it and hoping for quick fix from HiBy...

I applaud Shanling for developing their own firmware/software. Most likely Hiby is going to be a challenge going forward, though I would really like to be wrong.

You're probably right. I see their (Hiby) customers FW taking a back seat to their own devices now - possibly have been for a while depending on how long ago they started development
