Thanks for the help to all.
I read the entire pioneer Xdp300 thread and I'm too worried about the headphone jack issues, so I think that's out.
Opus x1 is a little too large (thickness) and is seemingly just abs casing, so that's out also.
So, I'm back to the m2s at the moment!
Is it native dsd or is there a conversion?
How are you owners finding the power output / what are you driving?
Has anyone done a direct comparison to the m5 on hires formats?

Thanks again to all for being so helpful

M2s is native dad, output is 130mw and drives all my stuff fine, I don't have any hard to drive cans though. Can't help you on m5.

Got my shiny new Shanling cable today, really nice! I like how flexible it is and how clean it looks. Good stuff! Um actually I swear the new cable sounds a bit louder and brighter, not much but noticeable. I don't have much experience with cables but I swear it's not placebo.

Oh and all my fellow Yanks, happy 4th!!! :) peace and prosperity to all. Happy belated b-day to my Canook friends also!

Highly recommended album and artist, the lyrics are sometimes crude and sarcastic but they are always on point. And well the music, well you just have to listen to the genious of Zappa and crew. Always brings a smile to my face.

Lol I mean I'm probably preaching to the converted here on head fi but I've turned many a noob friend onto Zappa.

I simply LOVED Zappa (and Dee Snyder) during the PMRC debacle. Stand-up guys.

Cable is looking good.

Quick question: haven't you tagged the song properly or why is no album cover showing?
Just wondering...

Probably the line out "on" voltage is too high for your car's head unit, and is causing overload, inputs have a certain maximum voltage they can handle before they distort. I imagine with line out "off" the voltage is significantly lower. I don't think the problem lies with with the Shanling. It's not even a problem really, more of an incompatibility. I used to own a Technics home CD player that would overload my Technics receiver.
Right. I think that why its handy to have variable volume on Line-Out. The iBasso DX50 has volume control on LO and on some Amps I do get distortion and clipping, so I just lower the volume.

Other hardware specifications have been made public, but there are no specifications for cpu and digitil audio processor.
I am wondering the specs of cpu and digitil audio processor.
What are the specifications of the cpu and digital audio processor?
I am waiting for delivery and I am very much looking forward to m2s.
