I recently purchased a player .... Like it!
But there is a small problem....
..... sometimes does not see the cover of albums .. How can I fix this?

Hmm... than I'm missing something.
So far I took out the mSD card from the M2s and put it in an adapter which I inserted in my notebook.
Once I added the songs and inserted the mSD card in the M2s - "Update My Music Automatically" option is on "on" - I don't see the new songs in "My Music" (albums, artists). Only if I choose "Update Music Immediately" and the card has been scanned the new stuff is visible.

you are correct - you have to trigger it manually if it doesn't show up. (That's why i also edited my original post )

That's strange. If you have it ON, after every insertion of SD card, scanning should start.

In the album folder there is a cover for example and it does not display it.

Hi all,
new to the forum and to the shanling m2s.
So far I like the Player a lot, but have one Problem with the Bluetooth connection. My Sennheiser Momentum 2 wireless are found by the m2s, but will not connect no matter how hard I click it... . This is not a general problem with the Player as I can connect to other Bluetooth devices and in ears just fine. The Momentum work great wired though, which on the other Hand defeats the purpose. They should be rev 2, as far as I remember, though I don't have the packaging any more.
@Shanling, can you point me in the right direction what else to try please ? Somewhere in the Web I found someone else with a similar problem, though no solution was Diskurses. Thank you in advance.

I have run them with inear stagediver 4 for a couple of hours now, which works awesome, an iematch does not improve the sound too much. I assume the stagediver is not too sensitive and thus seems a good match.
Any EQ setting but Off seems to dampen the sound significantly only, but does not improve (or bend) it to my Taste.

adjust the EQ setting it not increase anymore. and UI so confused.

1.UI
1.1 when Scrolling the wheel up it should select left to right e.g. off->rock->classical->jazz->......
or select frequency band 31->62->125->250->...
or increase -6 to +6
1.2 Scrolling the wheel down it should reverse in 1.1

1.3 UI bug when decrease less than -6

2.Sound ( turn on the EQ)
2.1 sound slightly drop when turn on EQ ( every frequency set to 0) and sound slightly drop again when adjust 8k 16k to +6 (occur in every frequency).

2.2 in 8k 16k frequency increase up tp +6 it did not notice about treble or high-frequency increase in sound (occur in every frequency bass,midrange and treble) you can compare with other music player e.g. winamp, Windows media player or VLC media player.

Please fix this.

Got another question
This time related to the "Resume Play" functionality: if I choose the "Track" option is it correct that, once I turn on the DAP again, it will start at the beginning of the song which was playing before I stopped and switched it off (so it won't continue at the position where it stopped the last time)?

It really depends. Maybe some of the files are too big, or maybe they are the wrong format. Maybe the word cover.jpg or cover.png doesn't work as intended.

@Shanling , is there a best way for cover files in folders to look like?

I mean, something like max. 300 pixels square and png format, or a recommendation like this?

Most important will be Album Artist sorting function. By year would be nice, but not a must (for me)
Something like cover flow would be cool by the way, but also not important

So my advice is to check the working ones and try to figure out what's different on the not problematic ones.

Size doesn't matter, that can only affect how quickly the cover loads. I just tested cover that is 5000x5000 and over 3MB in size, opens easily.

I use on everything JPG and name "cover" or "folder" and everything works smoothly.

Apparently there is some hardware incompatibility with bluetooth units on some of Sennheiser models, we know about this problem and we are looking into some solutions.

Oh, good point about wheel direction in EQ settings, will try to shift it for next version.

Yes, we are aware of some problems with current build and EQ, working on fix.

If you choose track, it will resume at beginning of given track. For exact position, you must choose "location" option.
