Thanks for confirming. Just jumped the gun and ordered both unit with case and USB interconnect :ok_hand:

Cool, did you order from aliexpress? And by interconnect do you mean the short usb c to mini cable? I'm asking because I don't see the cable for sale.

yes, that's what they are usually called - i could have DIYed the interconnect but I can't find a good USB C that shows the necessary pads needed for a good solder. So i had to order from a local DIYer. I'm claiming it tomorrow. Then hopefully the dap arrives within this week - i ordered from Shenzhen Audio.

Thanks I'm just looking for a cable myself. Hopefully you get yours quick like we did, I don't see why you wouldn't. Anyways the waiting is the worst part .

Edit, I don't see any USB C to mini OTG on amazon and I don't do ebay. So I'll just wait till Shanling sells theirs, it's not like m2s sound is lacking anyways.

Booya!

Here's one from yourcharger (LINK). This one is right-handed. They also have left-handed. I forget which you need, but you can figure it out from the pics.

If you can't wait for the one Shanling will be selling, you can always buy one of these. If you can wait, the one Shanling will be selling looks cooler.

BTW, how soon will you be selling them @Shanling?

Hi all,

I have a problem in playing DSD 64 files.
Via wired earphone its playing fine.
Via my sons mdr-1000x bluetooth, the M2S says DSD 64 files format not supported and cannot play.

Any one face this issue?

Is this a limitation of M2S or there are setup that i need to make in order for DSD files to be able to play via Bluetooth?

Appreciate any advises.

Thanks!
DSD is not supposed via Bluetooth because of unstable.

The DSD files may be require a higher bandwidth than the Bluetooth subsystem supports.

@Shanling - Are there limitations to what file types can be streamed over the M2s Bluetooth?
Only DSD is limited to play via Bluetooth.

Am i allowed to update firmware on my review unit or do i need to keep it as it is so its fair with the other reviews?

Few pros and cons over the last few days of use.

Pros - very good sound quality, nice small size, great build quality, fast responsive UI, enough power for most iems and good battery life.

Cons - (when using as a transport) enabling EQ has huge loss in tranparency, add bass thump from mojo that clips and distorts the sound, trying mojo from other deivces (android phone & pc) doesnt have this enhanced bass response or the clipping.

Hoping firmware update could fix this?

Hey deft, is that bass hump and clipping only with the eq engaged or all the time?

Thanks for the link Nik, I had some bad experiences with eBay so I don't really use them. I think I'll just wait for the cooler looking Shanling cable. It's not like the mojo is going anywhere.

All the time mate but because of the big loss in clarity we both hear using the eq i leave it set to off. The bump is in the sub bass thats for sure. It reminds me of when you use eq and you push a bass slider up way too high and it clips and distorts, sounds muddy and horrible. We have all heard this when we have been messing with eq. But i have never heard of a digital signal passing through to a dac having this kind of effect on sound.
