Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Been trying the M0 vs my V30 phone for the past few days but I'm finding the V30 is a bit better in resolution and clarity paired w/ Andro.

M0 form factor is nice though, it's a keeper for that alone.

Just got mine and loving it as a transport for my mojo with the L2 cable.

Unfortunately however the LDAC receiver functionality seems a little problematic when I try and connect it to my Sony HT-XT3 soundbase. It will establish a connection and show that it’s using LDAC but I just hear white noise from the output on the M0. The XT3 is fairly old and one of the first Sony devices to support LDAC tx so I wonder if the incompatibility is related to that. I struggled to get my A15 Walkman to connect over BT at all. Maybe it’s a more fundamental Bluetooth issue with older devices?

I understand it’s a brand new feature in the 2.0 firmware and I’m happy to provide additional info to help diagnose the issue. If Sony are providing the reference implementation it might be worth finding out if they know of any compatibility issues.

My MDR-1ABT and WH-1000XM2 headphones work perfectly with the transmitter functionality of the M0 though :)

The M0 drives my Nighthawks just fine.

Found my first problem. But not sure of it is the dap or my fault. I got Stevie Ray Vaughn in 2.8 dsd and put it on all my players. All of them seemed to work fine except the M0. It plays ok but for some reason it did not recognize the album name or artwork. So it is under unknown.

Try putting a "cover.jpg" file into the folder with the DSD tracks.

P.S. This is just a work-around. I have the same issue - my M0 doesn't seem to see artwork embedded in the .dsf files themselves.

You might want to correct this. ALAC is a lossless format. :)

You can set the double click function of side button to skip to next track.

Hello Shanling. Did you or will you implement LDAC in receiver mode while using USB OTG functionality via firmware update?
Use case: Android Oreo Smartphone -> LDAC -> M0 -> USB OTG Cable -> Chord Mojo -> Earphones

In receiver mode LDAC is supported (In addition to SBC and AAC). Not sure if USB audio out is supported when in receiver mode. Will check and report back.
