Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Curious question. Who came up with the actual design of the unit? Or who copied who?

Round design, with wheel on side, 2.5D glass, that has been our design for more than a year.

The red one I saw at Can Jam was red, true red no pink tone. Also OTG worked for Mojo transport just not OTG storage.

Just to be exactly clear on USB possibilities while on the go:

- M0 can be used as transport without problem
- M0 can be connected to your phone over USB cable and you can manage music this way(in file manager)
- M0 can be connected over cable to your phone and serve as DAC/AMP, if your phone and its software can do that.

So far only missing thing is USB OTG regarding reading external flash memories and harddisk.

Does the volume control work when it is being used as OTG transport? (for dac/amps without their own controls)

I looked back through quickly as I didn't remember seeing the answer to my question and still didn't find anything so I'll just ask. 2 parts.…

Is/will there be an American source for purchase? Will Shanling be considering a Massdrop since you've participated in drops for previous models?

In USA we have MusicTeck and TheSource AV.

We never directly sourced players to Massdrop, actually some old drops were rogue acting of our chinese dealers, without any approval and against our will.

Dug up my old UP and tested it. M0 in this set up does NOT control the volume of UP. If you have M0 at 0 or 100, volume of UP is the same.

Same experience using M0 with Chord Mojo, ifi iDSD BL and Woo Audio Firefly.

So it won't be sold on Amazon? Also, when do you expect it to be released in the US?

It will be sold on Amazon via our dealers, just as our current models are sold there

Posted this photo on previous page. I can say, my unit has rich red colour.

Such function is not implemented and honestly, not sure if scrobbling is anymore relevant to many people. I remember how excited I was with Last.fm, how our whole local Hi-Fi community was there. But that was in 2009...

hum... that's sad news. People are not "persistent" anymore :D I'm a last.fm user since 2005 and still like to go back in time....

Musictek said it won't be on Amazon for a while. Just direct through them for now.
Shanling's loss then. I wouldn't pay for shipping when the company offers other items on Amazon with free Prime shipping. The $99 price point does make for a very competitive price though.

Yeah. I asked them through Amazon about it. You get spoiled with prime. On a positive note, I am constantly driving past their place in Tenafly, NJ. Hoping they'll let me pick it up. Make life easy.

I think I would be more inclined to believe the manufacturer than the seller in all honesty.

Must admit that you have me confused. Shanling will lose a sale because their distributor will not be selling the product on Amazon for some amount of time after its initial release. Does wording it that way make it clearer what I mean?
