I ran into a similar situation ripping movies. The Bluray would play fine, but I couldn't rip it. Then I did some investigating and discovered what I mentioned before.
IIRC the CDT in the ET3 is not an CD audio only transport.

I believe I have two copies of this, an early 90's version and one of the early 2000's remasters. I will check. From the label, I don't believe I have the exact release unfortunately.
Unfortunately, my view on Shanling ET3 is not so optimistic. In addition to the SRC problem, I encountered several other serious flaws.
1. The ET 3 has problems playing some CDs in my collection. These CDs are in perfect condition and play without problems on my old player.
2. Bluetooth always in pairing mode even if it is already paired with my device and bluetooth input is not active. I find it unacceptable that a device connected to my private wifi network is also freely available to all my neighbors.
3) Apparently there is a wrong way to close the lid that is visually indistinguishable from the correct way. When this happens, the ET3 makes terrible noises when playing discs. I manage to close the lid incorrectly 1 time out of 10.
So I exchanged the ET3 for another transport. It's very sad because I really liked the sound, design and feel of the ET3.
1. I will report the CDs you posted to our engineers for check, bot this is something we see only very rarely.
2. You can turn off Bluetooth or Wi-Fi if you are worried about privacy.
3. Did you keep any picture or video showing how you put the lid on? The puck snaps into the correct position by magnets, the lid just fits flush with the outer opening. If you managed to put it on only 1 out o 10 times, there might have been something wrong with your unit or lid.
@Shanling Sure the BT can possibly have an on/off switch? Other solution?
Have not had any sort of trouble with the lid, no terrible noise.
Also @Shanling is consistently engaging with and providing insightful comments on the majority of posts in this forum, that deserves commendation. We appreciate the effort and hope that these issues can be resolved.

There is Bluetooth On/Off switch right in the menu.
2) This is a rather inconvenient solution. It would be better if pairing mode was only active when bluetooth input is selected and under one of the following conditions:
1. There are no paired devices
2. Could not connect to any of the paired devices
3) I didn’t take a photo because when I was encountering noise, the position of the lid was indistinguishable from normal. I assumed the problem was with the lid because removing it and putting it back was fixing the noise.
Since I am the only one who encountered this problem, then most likely it is a defective unit.
For example Brian Eno - Ambient 1: Music for Airports. ET3 especialy strugling with this one. When I press play for the first time, ET3 freezes at 00.00 for a while and stops. If I press play a second time it starts playing but stops every 3-5 seconds. As you can see disk in perfect condition.
ET3 already have bt on\off switch. It should have pairing switch.
My set up: ET3 CTD to R2R Gustard R26 DAC via AES connection. When playing a MQA CD, in SRC bypass mode, noise coming out the speaker constantly while the DAC displays bits rate blinks as well by second. Switch to SRC PCM 192kHZ, both noise and blinking display on the DCA are gone, and the sound quality is great.

Interesting. I changed my ET3 MQA output from core to full decoder, set SRC to by pass, the Gurstard R26 R2R can decode the MQA CD at 176.4kHZ and no noise.
Previously ET3 MQA was set to core decoder output and SRC set to by pass when I reported the bug.
I just got the ET3 a few days ago. I manage to connect the WiFi using Synclink but I cannot make the Bluetooth working. It is pair with my android phone, Samsung, but cannot connect it. How should I connect the Bluetooth?
Today, I have tried using ipad to play Spotify through ET3 and I am able to play it and sounds good. I have not compare it to my Lumin U1 mini streamer but I can imagine I will not miss my Lumin U1 mini. I an using i2s connection. However I still cannot connect my Bluetooth using android phone.
Just gotta spill the beans on this ET3 thing. To anyone possibly reading this post, and thinking about purchasing the ET3.
If you're into a CD experience that's more chill, organic, and kinda warm, this thing's the real deal.
Not gonna gush like a love-struck teenager, but seriously, ET3 has some cool vibes. It's like my tunes got an upgrade – smoother, warmer, you name it. If you're on the lookout for a new audio sidekick, this one's worth checking out. This is without SRC.

Does ET3 when sett to Bluetooth mode show it's connected and what codec is used?
You said it works fine with iPad. Do you have any other Android device to test?
What Samsung phone are you using?
