Reported to software team to check on this mismatch.
Thanks @Shanling. It's pretty puzzling.

On an aside, when I go into my NAS to listen to the music there, I assume the only way to do so with the ET3 is to use the Eddict Player as a controller to play on the ET3 via BT streaming? Just want to make sure I have not missed out on something. The Eddict Player has all sort of hidden treasures... :gs1000smile:

I'm not sure why you have the Bluetooth there? You can use ET3 as DLNA renderer.

Ah. That is what I was wondering about. How would I use the ET3 as DLNA renderer for my various NAS? Aside from the USB drive connected to the ET3, I can see my other NAS in Eddict Player. How do I play from these other NAS into the ET3? Look forward to your guidance.

Thanks!

As you are playing in the Eddict player from Nas server, on playback screen click on the 3 dots in lower right corner and there on DLNA

Thanks @Shanling . Found that in your Eddict Player manual. Interestingly enough, when I first did that, there was only local renderer. I switched off and on again the DLNA switch on the ET3, as well as switching the ET3 off and on a couple of times. Now it appears. Have it running on the M9+. Still does not seem to come on with my iPhone but I will slowly figure that one out later.

[edit: with some of the iterations of the Eddict Player on my other DAPs I had to update the version of the Player. For the iPhone I also had to update the Eddict Player]

PSA1: AES/EBU is meaningfully better than USB, which is itself better than toslink: fuller sounding, more relaxed, more natural, less digital, greater dynamics, etc.
PSA2: Properly grounding the unit will also lead to more relaxed sound

I would not say ET3 is a "giant killer" but it is certainly "almost a giant". Well done!

Ok, I have a problem updating to version 1.6. I used various pendrives, formatted to fat32, exFat, ntfs. Full reset. Nothing helps. What am I doing wrong ? Of course, I placed the update file in the main/root folder. I'm getting FW error check
I must have missed the release of version 1.6, did it come out recently? I'm stuck at 1.5.

My ET3 stopped displaying current playing album artworks on its display when using Airplay. It just shows the same artwork over and over again. Any ideas why?
Please try a factory reset on it.

I updated it to the latest FW and works fine :)
One other thing which works for me is I simply switch off the main power switch when something like that acts up. Rather than just put the ET3 into standby. :)
