Thoroughly enjoying this player. Ordered my Tubulus Argentus – I2S cable today. O.k. I know it's pricey but if I don't try it, I will always wonder if I should have.

It occurred to me perhaps a solution to this problem might be the Gustard U18 DDC which has adjustable I2S pinouts. Yes it's $400 or thereabouts but you also get the DDC functionality. I can't be sure it would work but it sounds like it might. Certainly makes more sense than spending a fortune on a cable.

This cable is made for connection between our ET3 and EH3. We can't assure how it will work with other DACs with different pinouts.

My SMSL DO200 MkII works fine with a simple HDMI cable, I just had to change the settings in the DAC menu, the DSD channel was reversed. Furthermore, this DAC has the possibility to adjust the I2S mode between normal and inverted to adapt to the pinouts of the source. There shouldn't be any problems, or at least I hope so.

I have some small issues in DLNA that I mainly use for Tidal and Qobuz.
First of all Bubbleupnp (Android) doesn't work well, it takes a long time to start playback, double or triple of Mconnect,
and above all it only plays the first track and then stops, even if you have given the 'play all' command before an album or a compilation. Tried changing settings, disabling gapless playback, nothing. The same app works perfectly with my wiim mini streamer and a small DAP from Hiby, a R2II,
even with gapless.
Mconnect works better, plays in seconds and without stopping at the first track but playing them all. Even here, however, ET3 is not compatible with gapless playback which instead works perfectly with the other two devices I mentioned above.
I hope Shanling can do something at firmware level to fix these issues, in live album or on particular album like The dark side of the moon, gapless playback is essential.
I also hope to see, as others have already written, Qobuz and Tidal soon on Eddict player.

I agree. I am satisfied with this device, the sound quality is very good and it is an almost perfect universal player. Only a little effort from Shanling is missing. They have seemed serious so far, I look forward to it.
