I correct myself. I tried to load several CDs and in fact with some you can hear this slight dropout on the first track played, even in USB.I've only used two outputs of the ET3 so far, I2S and USB. With I2S it has this problem, with USB it doesn't, everything works perfectly. I guess it's something Shanling can fix with a firmware update.

First, I think your presence here is a sign of Shanling's seriousness. Do you think that in the future it will be possible to introduce cdtext with a firmware update? Thanks. We will have firmware update coming for ET3 coming next week, it should fix this issue.

I received an email from Shanling yesterday. They told me that a firmware update that is coming next week will fix this problem. I am hoping that it does. The transport sounds great with my R26.I have dropouts around the tenth second of the first number.
Please let us know if the firmware update does the trick. I am still wavering as to dropping the hammer on one of these or trying to pick up a vintage quality cd player to use as a transport.
We now have beta firmware that should be fixing this issue of dropout when you play the CD for first time.
Please send me PM if your ET3 shows this issue and you want to test new firmware ahead of its release.

Yesterday my et3 downloaded new firmware v1.3. After the update, I did not find any interruptions in playback as previously mentioned by users but due to lack of time, I checked only one cd, so someone has to confirm it. Also Shanling can you add tidal connect and spotify connect in next update? Consider this.
Installed version 1.3 arrived via OTA. It took a long time to download, half an hour, perhaps the Shanling servers were a bit busy. The dropout problem seems to have disappeared, I loaded about ten cds without noticing it anymore. Only thing, after the update, the remote no longer worked.Yesterday my et3 downloaded new firmware v1.3. After several attempts I long pressed the cd key and it went off. From now on it worked fine.

The firmware update seems to have resolved the issue with my ET-3. I also noticed that the indication that I was able to use DSD512 over coax is no longer occurring. Updated to 1.3 beta also, thanks to @Shanling for taking time to read and send link via PM's.
Tested optical and I2S (SRC off and on to 384Khz) and no noticable skip or dropout since.

Here is public release of the firmware, with link for fast manual update:

Spotify and Tidal connect are services we would like to see on all our machines, but software team is so far slow in implementing it. When it starts showing on our streamers, CD players should be next.

Those cable almost cost more then the transport. For me that's not an option. Maybe I try to make my own. You can buy solderless HDMI connector on Aliexpress for around 3$. But i have not decided yet to buy the transport
As far as I'm concerned, I'll never spend big bucks on digital cable, these ideas that digital cable can dramatically change the sound seem very self-suggestive to me. Also, as far as I know, the I2S connection is the least affected by the quality of the cable. Those cable almost cost more then the transport. For me that's not an option. Maybe I try to make my own. I connected the cd transport to the DAC with a good 0.5 meter HDMI cable from Ricable. Sounds good, that's all.

As far as I am concerned, this is a personal choice that only you can make for yourself. I don't get into cable debates.
In fact, I stated 'as far as I'm concerned'. I thought I was clear. Everyone does what they want with their money. As far as I am concerned, this is a personal choice that only you can make for yourself.
