Sennheiser Spring Sale

Sennheiser Canada is certainly not in any rush. I placed my order yesterday morning at 9am and then 12 hours later I get an email stating I placed the order. First and only contact. I'm hoping they ship this week?

Unlike Sennheiser of course, who are giving away their HD820 for only £1,999 here in the UK. And then there's the Orpheus HE1 on sale at a mere £51,000 :) Same charity I guess!

I am still waiting for that Orpheus He1 sale. 96% off and it is USD3600,- before tax. Quite a lot but I would take it.

Why people are so mad in this forum? I'm only a couple of posts here and I'm already afraid that if I dig deeper into this hobbie I may become something like that

My wife already thinks I'm mad, I don't need you thinking the same too...... :)

@Arniesb I hope you're patient enough to wait another decade for that release . The HD 600 is 23 years old, the HD 800 is 11 years old. They're going to milk the HD800 for another 10 years before redesigning anything. Spending money on R&D is expensive, so they'd rather rename previous products, lower QC, switch factories, and abandon community loved products like the hd 202
I use the 414's (STILL) everyday--with a decent front end these cans just never cease to amaze me! And talk about comfortable, you could wear these for an entire 8hr shift and not know they're on you. And you just change the sponge pads every couple years.....

The 800S is simply one of the best headphones ever made and still competes very well against today’s TOTL headphones. Now we just need Sennheiser to make the planar equivalent but with smoother treble and better sub bass. Then they can kindly take my money.

I actually like it a lot when a flagship headphone is not replaced for a decade. It means they put everything into that model.
Obviously r & d matters and there is always risk involved, but 10 plus years is too long in my opinion. I think were beating a dead horse here, but it is funny. Lol HD580, HD600, HD650, HD660s are not all that different from each other in design, and slightly different in sound signatures. 1994-2020 is practically going on a 30 year old design. 💀
