Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!

Called Sennheiser and explained the unit I received from RMA had the same problems as my original one. They asked me to tell them the code below the barcode, that's the 20141118REV01 / 20150213REV02 code. Told them I had received a 20141118REV01 through RMA. Sennheiser employee told me I should have received a 20150213REV02, so it's going back to be swapped out again.

I have heard the exact same thing and I have sent back the 20141118REV01 box to be swapped out again. Sennheiser confirmed that the newly revised version of the headphones should come with the updated package box and its updated revision number 20150213REV02. Have to wait another 2 weeks for them to send a new pair of headphones, since there should be a small stock located at Sennheiser Germany.

I'm from Italy, i've contacted Sennheiser's local assistance and they told me they don't know about any exchange program or rev02 coming. What should i do? Thanks

After using them for multiple hours, my initial concerns were unfounded. Although there is sometimes a brief period of skipping when switching between devices, this stops after a few moments – afterwards they work quite well. I think I will be keeping them.

You could perhaps contact Sennheiser Germany and see what they say regarding replacement of headphones in Italy. Or try and talk to a manager in Italy and see if they might know something.

Hey guys thinking of getting one of these for the gym, though I am worried the treble may be too laid back for rock. Its either this or the M50x/Takstar Pro 80.

Received my REV02s today. I'll let you know how my commute to and from work tomorrow goes. I'm going on a trip on Tuesday, so the flight will be the ultimate test. Sennheiser was extremely generous to me over this issue, and I really can't say anything bad about how they treated me in every way.

For anyone wondering, after testing and looking it up, both momentums do sound differently. I think the M2's sound boring compared to the Momentum 1's.

Took the REV02 wireless to and from work, had absolutely zero dropout. Zero. Hopefully it stays that way.

Hi-fi is a funny thing. Opinions converge on certain things but you still hear people experiencing the exact opposite. Some headphones are known for their warm lows and soft highs and you'll hear someone say they're shrill and thin. I think people that are saying the REV02s are as bad as the REV01s are doing this.

Hi!

Good to hear! Just curious:

Where do you keep your phone? I.e. how far is it from your headphones? Did you have dropout issues with rev01?

If I have my phone close to the right earcup I have no issues, but if I keep the phone in a pocket further away from the headphones (such as my left inner pocket) I do get some dropouts in certain high traffic areas on my way to/from work.

Compared to rev01 the issues are really minimal, as the rev01 was completely unusable in those same areas.

As you, I was very well treated by Sennheiser, they did take the issues very seriously.

Admittedly I keep my phone in my jacket breast pocket. However, I did keep it there as well when I had the REV01 and it was completely unusable. So basically, I kept it in the same spot where the REV01 didn't work. It reached a point where I'd have to hold it in my hand 6" away from the headphone. I'll try it in my pants pocket on the way home.

Comfort, eh? Interesting. I can't imagine headphones more comfortable than the M2s.

I have it connected (Bluetooth) to my laptop in the office and I can be up to 7-8 meters away, even in another room without any dropouts. Still trying to get the headset functionality to work with my phone, the audio streaming is fine but I am not hearing anything when it switches over to calls,it works for my laptop through Bluetooth so I know it is something to do with my phone.
