Are there any new tips on tips?... I need either a very deep, large, tapered tri flange or a large, deep foam.

My eartip needs are similar to yours.  I found a very excellent fit with AUVIO tips from good 'ole Radio Shack (believe-it-or-not).

What is so good about 'em?
1.) They are 'hybrids' constructed with 2 different densities of silicone ala SONY EX-10's : Hard around the nozzle and Softer for the ear flange.
2.) The ear flange is offset from the nozzle so it enters deeper into your ear than any of the similar tips from Sennheiser, SONY, UE, etc.
3.) They come in an assortment of sizes including a large that is bigger than other brands largest tip.
4.) They're as far away as your local Radio Shack and cost ~$10 and if they don't fit you can usually return 'em.

These IEMs never seize to amaze me.

Download file #5 (or any of the others) in
 24 bit/96 kHz from here: http://www.lessloss.com/drums-drums-drums-p-203.html

Awesome sound stage, i could picture in my mind exactly where each drum was coming from.

Are there any new tips on tips? I searched through all the  postings on this thread. The v-moda and jvc kept popping up, but those shapes normally don't fit my ears. The best seal I have ever gotten is with the shure olives - is there something similar that will fit the ie80's? I need either a very deep, large, tapered tri flange or a large, deep foam. I might have to resort to the earplugs + holepunch method.

Newcomer to the IE80 game here, so forgive me if I'm wrong, but would Comply tips work with IE80s? they're my personal favourite.

I find the Comply tips to muffle the sound. Increases bass at the expense of the mid range and treble.

agreed.

the ie80 sounds great with hifiman double flange tips for me. more "open" sounding. the bass knob is set to minimum when i tried it. not to mention its really comfortable to the ears.

This is probably an unorthodox question, but has anyone compared the IE80s to something like the Senns HD650 or even the HD800? How does the IE80 hold up? Things like bass, mids, treble, soundstage, and overall listening experience. I know it's sort of an apples to oranges comparison, but i want to get a good idea of how these IEMs compare to full size cans. I have yet to experience the sound of a proper audiophile full size headphone so i want to know how the sound of the IE80s sound compared to them seeing as how im so used to it's sound by now.
