IE8's sensitivity is higher?
Congrat to you for enjoying the sound with t400s, after a while if you decide to mod some
silicon to fit your ear, you should be able to hear another level of what IE8 is capable of.

Maybe it's higher, yes?
Let's cross fingers and hope that tomorrow microphonics will be gone. That's what happened with both my iphone3G and my s639...
I have everything ready to make a mod, it's planned

Not sure which one to try first

Hi received my new x1060 today and once more : BIG MICROPHONICS ISSUE WHEN I TOUCH/MOVE THE JACK! Why, why???
My senn's MX660 jack isnt even gold plated but it doesnt make scrrccchh scrrccch as soon as it moves in my pocket!
Is there any kind of chemical reaction between the ie8 and the mp3 unit which has to set up each time?
Oooohh the sounds of my classical MXs, which sound very good, is so flat

These ie8 (fitted with some t400s for my large ears) sound so great!

That's crackling sound u refering to, not microphonic i guess. Wipe clean the jack of IE8.

Ok so I'm coming back with my crackling issues with my new x1060:
- x1060 + mx660 : no crackling at the jack
- x1060 + ie8 : cracklings as soon as the jack is moved
- s639 + ie8 : no crackling at the jack
That is so annoying! I've got something which sounds great but the combination do not work!
What would be faulty in the combination? the x1060 or the ie8s?
Should I return my ie8s?

My IE8 crackling about 10 seconds after attachment to the Ipod Touch 2 G. And only if you move it...

Then it's all ok.

It does make me wonder, seeing that I posted about this with the iPhone 3G very early in this thread if maybe the jack is very slightly smaller on the IE8 compared to others, which would cause this... Anyone have a micrometer?

I'm not sure if Headroom has the same deal going on, but a while back they had them for $319. That's the best I can remember from an authorized US dealer. It still says 'call for price', so give them a ring and find out.
