hi soozieq, you should just call sony uk to buy it them. I'm pretty sure that they will tell you the price, i think its better than import from jap.

I looked at Sony UK but didn't see the tips. Have you seen them there at all? I'll go look again. Did you mean Sony Style??

Just curious: Where can you buy the IE8s in the USA (or shipped to the USA) for substantially less than $450?

NCIXUS.com - Buy Sennheiser IE 8 IE8 Stereo Earphones 10-20000HZ 16 Ohm 4.5FT Black - IE8.
$234.81

But it's not in stock, all gone possibly due to popularity

Ordered Medium Jays tips, always got on nicely with them and as the core is flexi it slips onto IE8's snug like.

I'll obviously post back if I get the seal I'm looking for.

Has anyone written to complain about the rubbish fit of the IE8 bundled tips do you know??

Don't know if it'll do any good but I've written a letter of complaint myself. I've asked if they have any plans to change or upgrade the bundled tips with some that ACTUALLY fit!! If so I'm on the list...

Kinda sad that i couldn't get a good fit with any of the included tips, luckily i had some Complys laying around!

The first thing i noticed is the nice soundstage + it kinda sounds like a normal speaker, first time i've heard that in a IEM. Can't wait til they are fully burned in, hope the burn in process isn't just hype :p

The burn in process is definately not hype...

Although the sound was still ok straight out the box I found them boomy and the highs a little recessed, the nice thing is though they don't take forever to open up, I left mine overnight and boom job done. I've had pretty much every IEM on the market but never one that sounds this good, not even my beloved W3's.

I do think the stock tips are pretty hopeless...

The UE tips were a godsend.

This could be a reason some people complain about the fit, but could this also be the reason people don't get good isolation?

Which UE tips work the best?
