Does anybody know what the HD650's are made of excluding the drivers? Is any of it made of plastic?

Yup all plastic. Which in my opinion keeps them nice and light.

Oh okay, thanks for clarifying. I heard that it was made of carbon fiber/aluminum or something haha.

When I first saw the HD650, I expected them to weigh a bunch.  But, they are actually super lightweight.   And that is a blessing for long listening sessions...

For some reason I found the 650 being not that comfortable as I thought,  ... hence the decision to let them go ...
I don't know why but initially I was very happy with my hd650 but after a while I actually noticed that they are bit of to tight I should say ...
Anyway, I'm up for an upgrade, which is a good thing :)

I'm on the other hand going with hd800 this time, I just miss my k701 and the way they present the space and air arround the instruments :)
gave a listen to hd800 many times, as friend of mine has a pair, and I seams to be in love with them, same kind of love I was with 650 before though :)
One day will get there :) (...hope)
