Which would you guys go for under $430. I am only 16 and I want to pop these off on my next pay check but I will not have enough to buy over that. [size=small]Louis Lu[/size] has them new for 429 but it says he has just launched and it looks a little sketchy. [size=small][size=small]immigrationreader[/size] [/size]has them like-new for $380 with a good seller rating. What would you go for? Or just get HE-400? By the way I have an O2+ODAC.

IMO get the hd650, they are great and can get a very descent job with any amp out there!

Haha...the lyr doesn't get THAT hot. Runs a touch cooler than the Asgard. I can only poach an egg on the lyr but I can fry one on the Asgard.

Granted I've never owned anything North of $500 but of all that I've owned the lyr is by far the most enjoyable amp that owned. No plans to sell it ever!!

Just like my HD650's, I have no plans to sell my Lyr, either.
 
I really enjoy the Amperex Orange Globes with the 650's, but definitely prefer the Mullards with the HE-500.
