I have to remind her once in a while of her life at the Thrift store and what she looked like when I found her.

I can take her back anytime and donate along with my old smelly shoes. She has a much better life being a Head-Fi queen, so I don't think she'll be biting the Head-Fier that
Feeds her anymore.

FYI......I reached out to Custom Cans, UK yesterday as they didn't have any of the Sennheiser mods we've been discussing. I wanted to pick-up a second kit. Anyway, received an email back this morning from Sylvia. She has put more kits back up on the website. Doesn't have that many though. If they run out, it will be temporary.

Enjoy! I like the TA-26 with my 650s, 660S, and ZMFs, with some reasonably priced tubes (Electro-Harmonix 6SN7EH and Winged C 6AS7G)

I've had both and I ended up selling the 600 and keeping the 650. The 600 may be more neutral (some would say 'accurate'), but the 650 sounds more pleasant to my ears.

This is what I find with any piece of equipment, why chase absolute neutrality and accuracy if it's not enjoyable for hours of musical bliss? embrace the distortion.

I have a decent collection of different cans here in front of me from the likes of HifiMan, Focal, and have owned couple pair of Audeze, Grado, and others.

My current 'flagship' is a pair of Focal Clear MG. I love them.

But why, why oh why do I keep coming back to my Senn HD650???? Especially when paired with an iFi head amp? Year after year I just can't get enough of this sound that is so easy on the ears, but never lacking in detail. A midrange to die for, and good enough bass. Not perfect bass, but something again, just right about it. It has a 'character' to it.

These are the only headphones I ever need for my home listening. I just can't give them up in spite of all the new shiny options that pop up about, oh once every 30 seconds these days.

It's no doubt the ifi amp. Their products are luscious

Hello. I am planning to buy my first Sennheiser headphones. I thought of the HD650 model, but there is also the 660S next to it. anyone heard both? how are they different? I read that the HD650 model has different productions over the years, do they differ in sound? if so in what? which is the latest and how do I know that I am ordering it from the webshop?
