A gentle clean did the trick with the pads. Not back to their original condition obviously, but they have gained much of their volume. Feels much nicer on the head. Was reminded once again how fiddly it is to get the pads back on.

You adapted!!!!  The HD650s are kinda like the Borg.  They don't adjust to you, you adjust to them....

But the Borg do adapt to you.. That's why they have to remodulate their phasers to kill them o.O
Just had to throw that out there. So in essence you adjust because they do which would suck in a headphone because then it would never fit right..

Lucky you. I'm still waiting on mine, but I'm glad to hear you like the cable. Did you get it sleeved?

Yes, fully sleeved to the split, which is then heat-shrinked to the ends; and it looks and feels great. Exceeded my expectations.

Edit: typos

Is it soft/flexible?

Ah... Well, not like the original cable, of course. The sleeve feels like tightly braided nylon and is flexible enough that I don't notice the cable. I think it's 1 meter and it drapes nicely from amp to lap up to phones, when I'm sitting at my desk.

Part of my motivation was to have a shorter, heavier cable. My cats chewed up the stock cable, because I let drape to the floor.

Stands are expensive, but I still need to get one for myself soon. HD650 is driven by the Little Cube Premium amp. Still waiting on my Aune T1 to finish repairing :frowning2:

I got this for my HD600's yesterday at IKEA, loving it!

10 dollars or your regional equivalent!
