Some people have issues with LCD-2 wearing comfort. Also many people haven't heard the newest Fazor version which is far more neutral and clean sounding.
 
To each his own. I still think HD650 is awesome and more than capable headphone (one of the best), but I don't want to keep a whole bunch of cans around me.

I have bought, sold and sometimes re-bought hp's as much as anyone here I would imagine. But the 650 is something that I can't bring myself to sell. No matter what incredible hp's that I have in my collection ATM, the 650 always has it's place. I just can't imagine a scenario where I'd sell them off, especially have owned them for as long as you.

I own both HD650 and LCD2 (pre-fazor). They are close enough sounding to suit my tastes, but different enough to offer some differing strengths in their musical presentation. I have no intentions of selling either one (unless i upgrade the LCD2 to 3

And that's the difference in personalities. I'd rather keep one universal can, than hassle with switching them back and forth.

I think I did, with my old HD600. But in the end, it's just a headphone... They found a good home.

I would have loved to kept mine...thing was, I just quit reaching for them after I got the HD800.....so I figured, why not let someone else enjoy them...they are great cans, without a doubt

Recently ordered an LD MK IV SE tube amp and can hardly wait to try with my HD650s. Anyone else using this amp / headphone combination? I too, am searching for the WOW! factor in overall sound. I'm using ZY Hifi cables with my HD650s, and really improves sound stage, clarity, etc.

 


I have the LDMKIII and can say that they're great with the HD650's.Yours should be a bit better i guess.Do check out the Little Dot tube rolling thread before you buy any tubes and start from the last page instead from page one, because some great tubes (some with adapters) have been discovered recently for the Little Dot tube amps.
