Just listened to "Walk this Way - Aerosmith" after not using these cans for a while. Reminded me why they're soooooo good. Old rock music sounds just plain awesome.
Agreed, these cans just slay the entire rock genre. With extra skill at classic and industrial rock.Just listened to "Walk this Way - Aerosmith" after not using these cans for a while. Reminded me why they're soooooo good. Old rock music sounds just plain awesome.

Matrix M Stage vs Schiit Asgard vs O2 / ODAC?
In what way?
In what way?
The A2 is very clean sounding with a slightly warm tilt...just a touch. I like the versatility of the gain switch and pre-amp. Very well built and a bargain at $250.
You asked Matt, But Ill give my opinion if you do not mind:
The M-stage was a bit dark and intimate with the HD650.(I am a tube guy, the M-stage sounds a bit tube-like without the tube harmonics so......)
The O2 is thin and lifeless with them(yeah "you don't like neutrality", no, I like soul in my music), but I do like the O2 with some cans (D7k, Kenwood KH-1000)
The Asgard was a good mix between the two.
Chord Hugo is a great pairing with HD650s. Very musical and transparent. Clear highs, mids and strong hitting bass. I recommend it to anyone with enough budget. I think this is the best I've heard HD650s.
