My hd580 sounds exactly like my hd600. And the emu 0404 usb really doesn't let the hd650's fly as high as they can.

Kind of off topic, but how much do these leak sound? Are they ok for office/cubicle use?

The EMU was only used as a DAC, the amp was LD MK3.

All four headphones are open, so they do leak some sound. They should be ok for cubicle use if you don't turn the volume on too loud.

Scratch the HD650 off your short list and get the HD600. : )
