For those with a tube AMP (would be preferable if you had a Schiit tube AMP) what tubes are you using with the HD 700

Out of all of those, which is your go to tube for the AMP and HD 700

Siemens CCa (my favorite) and the Pinched Waist as an excellent change up. If I use CCa in my amp, I run warmer tubes in my dac. If your dac is on the bright side German tubes may be too bright for the HD700.

I got the Modi Multibit as my DAC, so I guess it is more neutral. Bit out of my budget, thanks for the mention anyway

I'm using a Woo Audio WA7 (1st generation) to power my HD 700's with the upgraded Electro-Harmonix gold-plated tubes and the solid-state power supply.  One of these days I'll need to get the tube power supply as well as get my amp retrofitted to the newer version.  That said, it's a very good combination to my ears.

I enjoy my NOS matsuhita 6dj8 from Upscale Audio, but the gain is a bit high, and it reveals the amp's noise floor

In my experience, tubes are very system dependent. Don't let the hype that surrounds some of the more sought after and expensive tubes sway you. These so-called "super tubes" can sound awful in systems where they don't match up well with the other system components. And therefore, I would advise you to start with affordable tubes to learn what works in your system, and then go from there.

Whoa sound stage is great. Has also kicked some bass into my HD700.
Loving it.
Now to go find and import 4.4mm balanced cable for my HD700.

They are all slightly different sounding and should give you a starting point to see what you like.

If your amp is designed around the 6DJ8/ECC88, then the 6N3P-E, which is the Russian version of the 2C51/5670, will not work without an adapter. And even with an adapter, it might not work all that well, depending on the amp. Very frankly, as you are a beginner, I would not recommend that you use tubes that require adapters.
 
Now, there is a Russian equivalent to the 6922/E88CC, the 6N23P. In my opinion, Voskhod 6N23P from the mid 1970's are quite good and are often relatively inexpensive.
