hello all... here my setup..
Raspberry pi + Digital Coax Out (Volumio) - Parasound d/ac-2000 (ultra analog) - Woo Audio WA6 - Senn HD700...
so far so good...
Damned fine looking setup ya' got there.
As for me, I use Neutron Music Player on Windows and Android alike. It has oe of the best DSP sections out there. The problem for many is its outdated interface. And on Windows it is worse because the dev just used the android interface on the Windows version. So, not only does it look outdated (for some), it also looks stretched like it doesn't belong on Windows.

For me, I like the interface on android (not so much on Windows though), but otherwise don't care much because I am more interested in all the things it can/does do for sound reproduction.

As for EQ with Neutron, you can store your "home made" profiles (as many as you want in fact) and can copy them between devices or different installations of the app. I also love that you can use up 64 bands in the EQ.

Another favorite thing is that you can mix and match your bands. Some can be EQ, and others can be PEQ, however you see fit to sculpt your sound. Plus it also interfaces and applies Auto-EQ profiles from the net.

Just my $.02.

This. HD700 on Oratory1990 EQ are insane, being this baby HD800 with bass that's as dynamic as the Elex or Clear OG, being unbelievably comfy for long listening duration. I have a hard time justifying anything open back under 1000 dollars, including Clear MG cause of the HD700. No 6X0 can touch the 700 on EQ imo. They make me feel stupid for getting the Hadenys at USD $400.

Don't get your hopes up. I made a pitch for this on the sennheiser holy grail thread, where they asked people for feedback on what they wanted from an ultimate headphone. And to be fair, they did take some of my suggestions... but used them to make a new 660 instead. D'oh!

For pocket change is an incredible headphone. The weird treble spike I am totally not sensitive too so extra win for me

The Senns HD800 S, is the update. Just a better sounding headphone - wider soundstage, better detail retrieval, deeper bass extension.

The HD700 are still good phones (had mine for 11 years now), but when up against the HD800 S, you know who's the boss (HD800 S). The one area where I would give the edge to the HD700 is the bass is a little heavier, but.... as I said, extension of bass notes is far better on HD800 S.

Listening to the HD700 driven by the Mass Kobo 433 has truly brought these to another level.

There actually is no update of the HD700. The HD660 uses the same driver (and is considered its successor), but is otherwise wholly different sounding.

The HD800S is the update to the HD800. It is exactly the same (same driver, housing, etc...) except color, and the tuning in the bass and treble has changed a bit. And i would agree that the HD800S do pretty much everything at least a bit better than the HD700, if not more than a little bit..

As for the bass, with the right EQ I think the HD700 is much more capable of being tweaked than the HD800S. It just seems to take to PEQ/EQ much better IMO.

Those are beautiful!

I don't PEQ/EQ. And why I have a different perspective re HD700 vs HD800S.

And I prefer to play my music without audio tweaks. That's me.
