How funny......today wanted to spend the day on my TA-26 and busted out all my high impedance cans and currently listening to Heart Barracuda on my 600s
Also using HD600 with TA 26 - awesome pairingHow funny......today wanted to spend the day on my TA-26 and busted out all my high impedance cans and currently listening to Heart Barracuda on my 600s
I really am happy with my Class A SS Burson amps, but I think I need to add one of these Woo WA6/SE to my arsenal. Seems to be well made, not too crazy price, everyone seems to love it and it shouldn't be as limited as some of the OTL offerings out there. That being said, although I admit that the LCD-X have been the primary cans in the main system, last night was a bad night and, working at home, I hit the wall around 3 pm. Went into the bedroom, slipped on my CC back weight/Dekoni hybrid modified HD600s and simply decompressed to a live Dead recording from 1977 (Englishtown, Dick’s Picks 15). Not for the first time, made me rethink whether I really need anything more than my 580/600/650s. They are just right and, most importantly, they do a fantastic job of allowing you to forget about all the audiophile BS and just melt into the music. A GREAT couple of hours, well spent. The HD600 (modified with UK Custom Cans CNC backweight) paired with Woo Audio WA6 (Brimar 12AT7 KB/FB) is pure

The stock cable is way too long for desktop use, so unless you're using it in a living room where the stereo is some distance from where you sit, I would get a shorter aftermarket cable.I'm going to buy finally HD600 for $300 on Amazon, the latest model (black romanian, not marbled irish).
My only concern was about if the new model sounds inferior to the old marbled but it seems are the same, also I prefer the new grey/black than the old marble.
So overall I'm fine with the purchase? Anything that I should to know before pull the trigger?
Good to know thank you.The stock cable is way too long for desktop use, so unless you're using it in a living room where the stereo is some distance from where you sit, I would get a shorter aftermarket cable.
What kind of cable is that? I LOVE those thick, rope like cables! I've considered screwing one up myself DIY style but never had the courage lolAlso using HD600 with TA 26 - awesome pairing
