Yes, these Sennheiser 6-series break down faster than Chi-Fi. You hadn't read about it before buying? Pure garbage they are. Not sure why they've been making them for 3 decades now... surely the misplaced hype died after the first few hundred broken units were reported in the first year.

Really enjoying it...tighter yet fuller bass...and have removed the foam inserts behind the pads too..

I really like the Custom Cans mod on my 600s...the bass response has been extended and been made clearer. The resulting tonal balance is outstanding.

The HD600 certainly holds it's own even among most headphones that are several times its price. I bet that most people have never heard it's potential in a good vinyl system with a proper phono stage set up with a juicy gain and a good head amp. This is where the HD's can be stunning.

OCD! Love it! But once you get it right, it's fantastic....until you change something.

I'm sorry but after two weeks of LCD-X, coming back to the HD600, these still sound so freaking good. The vocal performance and guitars are just too good

Totally agree. I like my HD600 better than the LCDs for 90% of any music with vocals and acoustic instruments.

I have no direct comparison, but for a music of my preference, HD600 is already a king on this planet, the only improvements can bring a good turntable or R2R NOS DAC and the amp.
