I also prefer the 600 over the 650. Se when are you placing the order?

As soon as financial situation (and wife) lets me

Actually, HD600 is a win-win situation as my wife likes their sound as well

. Those headphones are truly something that must be heard at least once by everyone who likes headphones.

This is a top flight headphone at price that challenges headphones adored by the audio elite. 20 years of such recognition is something few if any headphones have achieved,

I'm going to jump on the agreement boat again and say that the hd600's have no veil. The sound is just slightly thick and there's many ways to alleviate this. If people didn't keep saying "the hd600's are veiled blah blah blah", I would have bought these 9 years sooner. This is coming from someone who enjoys bright/analytical headphones...

After testing them side by side with the same track and amps, HD650 has some veil in comparison to HD600, people might lump them together and this is why might think that HD600 has veil.

Even so, HD600 is one of the most unveiled headphones I heard to date. Really clear and nice sounding.

In my experience, the comfort is also better on HD600 than on HD650 - no idea why.

I like 600 more than 650. But I had found 650 and 600 might prefer different amplifiers.

uhuhh I've heard that line before. The only way thats going to happen is if you forget headfi ever existed.

Hopefully it's the case this time. I'm a convert!

No veil at all here too :)

Not even in Acoustic music, with voices, in Jazz or Classical music? What about the voice in this one for example? Does it not seem unnaturally muffled to you?
