Ety ER4S.

My number two is the LCD 2.2..

Before I got my HD700 - I'd suggest DT880 or K701/702/Q701.  They are all very complimentary to each other.

HE500 and TH600

Heir Audio 8.A CIEMS. More bass, but less clearer highs. Looking into getting the excellent Noble K10's to fix that.:)

Shure 1540
Beyerdynamic DT990/600 ohm

LCD-2's are a good pairing as well, falling to the other side of the spectrum from Grado's. I would call my HD600's my #2 pair of cans and my LCD-2's my #1 pair.

I apologize ... didn't make it clear ... when I said ... your #2, what I mean is not a HP that's similar in sound signature. I mean a HP that's very different from HD600 such as Grados that you use for a different kind of music.

Example ... I think Grados are awesome for electric guitar music. Now, smooth jazz, etc ... not so great and that's where HD600 comes in.

Beyer DT880 for electronica / hip hop

Alessandro MS1i for rock

Yep - that's what I gave you.  Both Beyer DT880 and AKG K701/K702 have a different presentation that I found very complimentary to the HD600.  I used all 3 when I had them.  I still use both my DT880 and HD600 today.  Different flavours - fantastic headphones.

I'm still tossing up whether to repurchase SR325i again (mine were heavily modded).  I tried RS1 for a while but it didn't really tick the boxes like the SR325i did.

I really love my hd600 with my dx90.

I think it is even better than my se846.

Are there any ciem that are close to the hd600?
i Really love its natural presentation, and its bass and soundstage

The jh13s reminded me of the 600s which is why I went with the 16s. Just as good I just wanted the slightly warmer sound signature (600 vs 650 ish)

Hey guys,
I am thinking of buying the HD600 and i wonder if 250euros (350$) is a nice price. I own a pair of Beyerdynamic DT990 PRO and i love them, but i want to try something better and more neutral. I am not sure if i can resist xD

Going price on Amazon is $395 (USD), so it sounds like a deal unless you Europeans get better prices on Sennheiser gear

Man these sound great, the bass is vary smooth, much better then my V-Moda M-100, now i might have to get the HD-650 as i hear they have a WEE bit more bass so they might be better for when i listen to RAP.

The HD600 is definitely no slouch with rap, but the HD650 is even better!

disagree.  the 650 "may" go lower, but its not as full sounding.
