  As a very happy HD600 (Schiit Modi/Vali) owner ... I am now interested in 1 more pair of HP that have a very different sound for different kind of music. I was thinking Grados for that electrifying guitar kind of sound.
 
For HD600 owners ... what's your #2 HP you listen to?

 
Before I got my HD700 - I'd suggest DT880 or K701/702/Q701.  They are all very complimentary to each other.

I keep wanting to answer the question but its so tough without knowing what the headfier thinks of the bass and treble of the HD600. Do they want more or less bass? More or less treble?

They don't need more or less of either. They just need refinement . A hd800 / hd600 ba***rd child would suffice.

Just got the HD 600's today, i dont like the sound, its like im listening through a tin can, NOT happy, also when im listening to them on the bus i can hear people talking.

They are open backed cans. They are not advertised to be portable. Not to be rude, but did you read any reviews before buying?

Yes i did, they dont get loud neither, i use a ipod and the ipod headphones get way louder, i thought these would have more bass because the driver is WAY bigger.

You don't have sufficient amplification for a start. But as for the "Tin can" remark - don't expect big boom boom bass from HD600s..

Im just messing with you, i dont have them yet, but i hope i do get them tomarrow, i will be using the Emotiva Stealth DC-1 to power them.

The HD600 is a 300Ω pair of headphones. Expecting loud volume unamped and through an ipod is just.........well......dumb.  Sorry.
