I just received the headphones and the power of stx its quite enough in terms of volume when i use the extra gain 300-600 ohms it starts to hurt his chest in the mid volume.
i need use 64-300 or 300-600 with the hd650?
another thing its the burn in its really necessary for improve the sound?
the headphones its good after 1 hour of listen but i expected more headphones at this price. my speakers solo 7c only 180$ and after three years with them everyday is sounds simply amazing whatever happens to me with headphones.

now i see that is hd 600 thread oops

Just interested in experimenting or finding which one you like better? Cuz I've listened to both and they're actually extremely similar, though at the end of the day, I did go with the HD600 because it's more to my sound sig preference, even if only slightly. So if you're switching for the heck of it, then go right ahead, but if you're looking for seeing if the HD650 is "better" in some way, then just evaluate sound sig preference. HD650 is a good one to try if you prefer a slightly warmer feel than what the HD600 offers and as a result, the treble seems to produce more clarity since it contrasts with the heightened low end.

The differences between the HD-600 and HD-650 is a matter of what sound signature you prefer.

Note: the different signature is easier to notice on my BH Crack, if using a DAP like X3 or from phone differences are not as pronounced.

600=clear, crisp, closer to what I would consider neutral, not as forgiving as 650 of average recordings

650=warm, lush, more bass and smoother mids, fairly forgiving of average recordings

Having lived with both for about a year, if I only could keep one it would be the HD-650, more musical, easier to listen to and forget you have them on, the HD-600 can get a little sibilant for me with some genres.

It would be used with the iFi Micro DSD.

I've only heard the ican and it was a long time ago so take this with little weight:

The HD-650 didn't really sound as good on the ican as compared to the BH Crack, the sound seemed to lack dynamics IIRC.  I didn't have the HD-600 at that time so I don't know how it would have sounded.

I like crisp and clear, if I need Bass I have my M100s. right now Im trying out the Dharmas and they sound fantastic with the DSD so Im assuming the HD600 would be similiar minus the $1000.00 price difference.

Are you looking at the HD-600 as a headphone to compliment your M-100 and PM-3?  I have a M-100 and its really different so you will be getting a fairly different sound signature in the HD-600.
