Finally I managed to have an hd600 and a tube amp, even though it is not the most expensive amp. With the original tubes of the Xduoo mt-602 (6j1) the differences for the Fiio k5 Pro (left in the photo) are not very pronounced. I already bought other tubes (5654w) and I am waiting arrive to see if i can get a properly tube sound.

Can anyone recommend the warmest tube compatible with the Mt 602 xduoo?

Well..there goes.

I have had an hd-600. after 2 years it fell apart.
I looked inside it..the electrical wiring was thinner than a human hair.

Sorry to say it to 150 pages of fan boys. Sound is reasonable.
But in my opinion not worth the price. 300 euros ?! nuts.

This is the reason a hd-600 stops working, when one drops it 2 times from ones lap.

It's a fantastic headphone period. If I had to choose one more to add to my collection it would be the 600.
What about the converse? If you had to whittle the collection down to three (assuming it is currently > three), would the HD600 be one of the trio?

This is similar to having opinions about the quality of an amplifer based on its weight. I don't care about the thickness of the wiring if the sound is good (and it is). Also, I have dropped my HD-600s more than once over the years (in fact, this morning they fell from about 4 feet from a stand to a wooden floor--call me a klutz), and they work as well as new.

So after two years and breaking them when they drop you've realized the sound is "reasonable?" I would have thought that may have occurred to you 1 year and 11 months ago, not to mention before the 150 pages of 'fan boys.'

Personally I think they're fantastic for the price, especially if you pair them well. Sorry your recent experience has colored your thoughts of them.
