So I'm new to the head-fi community, and I've been looking for new headphones for a while now, and I've narrowed it down to these 2 cans. So which is the better one in terms of comfort, sound quality and bass? I only listen to hiphop/rap so I need one with the best bass...

Try the sennheiser HD 429 if you want bass, comfort with very good sound quality

The pads on the 428/9 and 448/9 are horrible imo , its sprayed onto the foam , thin and sweaty. The stars of the HD4* series IMO are the 438/9 , pref the 9 as it looks good , the 438 looks disgusting. The 439 also has nice velour pads and removable cable, you can buy the other pads if you dont like the velour ones, win win win!
