I don't think that's the issue.  It sounds like he clipped the wire going directly to the driver.  Not sure now you go about doing that, but it sounds like you either need a new driver, deal with one working headphone, or... ummm... Mcguyver it?  Maybe you could buy a spare driver from Sennheiser?   Or do a HD25 to Amperior transplant and basically create your own custom pair of HD-25 Aluminum.

Hey folks I need your help. I currently pair my Amperior with my HTC One M7 (+poweramp) and haven't found any other source that I like as much as the HTC One. Do you have any suggestions on what I should try? I've only tried iPods, and Sansas but I really didn't like what I heard. Thanks in advance.

BTW I also own M7, if you are into rooting do try the custom audio drivers for One, IMHO they sound pretty good.

Wondering about that too, they are discontinued for such a long time but still supply never seems to dry up for the discounted prices??

I bought mine from Amazon for $149.99 in November 2013...But they are still available new in plenty of places online and in retail stores here. I am also still madly in love with them, they are really nice, especially for this price.

I bought mine on amazon.fr for only 130€ in silver color. It's my first Sennheiser and I am amazed with this product. Before I had a Bose AE2, altough with a great comfort and very light weight, the sound wasn't ( for me) detailled and enjoying.

This german headphone has a sound wich i like a lot, because it is punchy but stills clear. I use it with a Ipod Classic (7th Gen), so the remote is entirely usable. The only negative point is the long listening session, because the clamp becomes too strong. However, the Amperior is a very good portable headphone.
