I just bought a pair of sennheiser 380 pro's and for the life of me i can't drive them right. Tried the headphone out on my home audio system, not good enough because there was audible distortion at moderate volumes. So i bought a cmoy from biosciencegeek on ebay. It drives them better, but i still can't listen above moderate volume before the cans start breaking up. Is this normal? And how can i fix this without spending a ton of cash (im broke now)

Try it with a different source to see if the problem is with the headphones. The headphones shouldn't distort with above moderate volumes.

yes it still happens. Can't imagine what it is, sounds like a rattling noise in the cans.

Sound like they may be defective then.  I'd get a refund or exchange if you can.
