Hey folks,
 
I'm very new to the world of IEM's - I had a pair of Sennheiser's that I thought were great. They're old now, and missing - so time to upgrade. I listen to mostly warm acoustic music, with vocals... I was pretty much sold on the Soundmagic E10's, then I heard about Vsonic. So I've narrowed it down to:
 
Soundmagic E10
Vsonic VC02
Vsonic GR02 Bass
Vsonic GR99
 
Any recommendations/suggestions would be much appreciated!! Oh I may add that I'll have to order from ebay as they will be shipping to South Africa.

Add the new Vsonic to your list the VSD1. They say it retains 80% of the sound quality of a GR07. Its out of stock right now, but I'd put it at or near the top of your list:

GR99 is kinda cold sounding for me. GR02BE or VC02 might suit you well. Haven't got chance to try on E10 but I had E30 before sound signature kinda warm, warmer than both VS I mention above but really dislike the rubberish cable.
 
As for GR02BE and VC02, I prefer R02 more. It sounds more fuller but kinda harsh treble at 1st can be fix by couple hours of burn-in and tip switching.
 
Side note: you may try GR02BE small black tip on VC02 they are pretty awesome too.

there sure looks to be a lot of hype here about these... has anyone been able to check them out yet??

So I'm waiting to see how these VSD1's are received by the other head-fi members... Does anyone have any other suggestions specifically for folk, jazz, acoustic and classical music?
