It's early days, but so far it has some of the same qualities: Good, deep bass, dense, vivid midrange and very smooth treble. If anything, the treble may be a bit darker than the CV181-T Mk II
I've had my Lyr 3 for awhile now and been through a number of tubes and find myself swapping them out every now and then. I think people prefer their own sense of sound and will find their own favorite tubes as they find the ones that best suit them. The Lyr 3 sounds great to me and I have been enjoying it the last few years!

I always recommend a 50s foton as a great tube. I have tried a lot of tubes over the years and this is one of my favorites, and for the price you can't beat them.
