ARC SP3, one of my all-time favorite preamps for sound and aesthetics, available in gold or silver trim. The cage allowed one to ogle the naked body of the circuitry and its components. It always took pride of place on the top shelf of my cinderblocks and its 12" x 3/4" inch x 6' pine planks stereo equipment display case. No one could ever approach it without their gaze being drawn over the top cover for a peek. No heat related issues ever. Amazing the prices that are being commanded now compared to the original list prices.

There are just a few things we should not do on this thread.
Using it as an aftersales/customer care route and trying to bully someone into accepting or even take over your views.
The exception of course is when teaching you barbarians how to do a decent BBQ.
For that reason alone, I'm lucky to live in Europe and be an Italian.

BBQ ... in the sense that it is meat cooked outdoors over fire ... reaches its highest art, and is best appreciated by, barbarians.

And don't let any effete, indoor-dwelling, slipper-wearing, untanned drones ever tell you differently.

Not that any of us Schiitizans personally know any people like that, of course. (I mean the drones. *We* are all from hearty barbarian stock.)

I wonder what the operating temp delta is for Mjolnir 3 with black (steel, also aluminum) vs silver (aluminum) tops?

I would bet that you could write a master's thesis on this, but why not just listen to the end result?
