@Mike Foley

Saga and Mani are sounding great. The Saga is a superb piece of kit, and a massive improvement over previous pre-amps I've had in my system over the years. Back when I worked in the industry I only heard two pre-amps that had the Wow Factor, when we set them up in store. Linn Kairn and Naim Nac52, both of with cost considerably more than Saga. Kairn was £999.00, and NAC52 was several thousand pounds. I'm talking around 1989-1990, so heaven knows what the current prices would be. Saga is just as WOW inducing as those two, and probably more transparent to the source components. It's given my ancient power amp a new lease of life. As a bonus Mrs F thinks it looks cute! Modi Multibit will be added at some point, or perhaps a Bifrost MB. Vidar will be the next addition

The modern incarnation of your NAIM pre is the 252. It costs $12K USD alone. It also requires the SuperCap, costing another $7700 USD. So the total comes to just under $20K.

Here is the latest NAIM price list for your amusement. Though prices probably have gone up again this spring since this list was published.

I do believe that you must make some minimum number of posts before being allowed to upload pics. Should be something in the rules

I still get that on my phone. Uploads (picture taken by camera or as a file) and says 100% .... but then error. No problem doing anything on my computer. That's how I had to post the recent pictures. Beer is good!

Condolences, good sir. I am patron to my son's Labratard, Rocky while he is at colleg but have been actively searching the animal shelters in search of a Maine Coon or a "hybrid" as the breed grows quite large and tend to be doggish in their mannerisms.

Yes they're big and heavy like a Ragnarok. So are the Norse Forest Cats.
They produce a lot of heat and can make a racket given the just input.
However, they lack the off switch on the back side and sometimes that sucks.
Pulling the power cord just above the aims doesn't work Eitr.
Speaking of which.....
The cat out of the bag yet?

Here's a picture of my Maine Coon, Ozzie, waiting for me as I pulled up to the house.

On an audio related note, I had to replace 3 drivers on my speakers because of him when he was younger - before I covered my center channel speaker with a big-ass box, he would jump on it and he cut the surround on the mid-range (2 drivers there) and somehow he did the same on one of my main speakers...about $800 each...He's lucky I like him!

That would have been the end for me. It would have been a cat in the kettle moment.

I've just gone to page one of this thread, to look up a chapter from Jason's book. I click on the name of the chapter I want to read, and I'm taken to the relevant page, but no sign of the chapter. All other posts look to be there. I've tried a few different chapters, including the latest, and nothing. No sign of them. Is it just me?

Ah, the chapters ARE still here, just a page or so away from where the link takes you.
