Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Nice! When did you get the Pure Fidelity table?
Back in April of last year. I replaced my long-term Clearaudio Concept MC and phono preamp with my current gear in my sig. It was a big jump, but in the grand scheme of things it was a marvelous investment. I honestly never knew that vinyl could sound this clear, clean and noise-free. Nuts, I tell you - it's goose-bump-inducing crazy schiit.

Best part is that my buddy Glenn is now re-introducing himself to LPs that he's been listening to for years, on the new-to-him Clearaudio TT.

I want to sit where that photo was taken and bask in the sound. I know it would be great. :)
I will serve you fine whiskey from Oregon, too. Makes things sound MUCH better...

What?!?!?!? Texas Hold 'Em? You aren't reveling in the spectacle of Carolina ending the tourney for Alabama? Holy geeeez, man. Words cannot adequately convey my disappointment. 🤣

If Carolina doesn't win, I disavow any knowledge of this post. :anguished:
Y'all letting Grant Nelson go crazy

I'm from the generation that came to California, from all across the country, for the opportunity. California afforded me a fine education, a lucrative career and a very comfortable retirement. The ocean, the mountains, and the weather were/are perks.

That said, having an off-grid cabin in Montana sure is nice when I need to decompress and unwind from what California has become due to its earlier popularity.
I was born and raised in the SF Bay Area, met my future wife while on the road making music in 1979, then moved South in 1982.
Love SoCal and don't miss the SF Bay area one bit.

But ooh...Texas...

Yes! It's me! Your favorite son you never knew you had. But Mom told me about that one-nighter in Vegas so many years ago.... 🤣 🤣
It would take more than one night to make something as gifted as you, @bcowen

ROFL! You are such a wise man. Is there anything you need, like tubes? Marilyn Manson discs? BBQ? 🤣

... I am hearing differences though, with practice. ...
There is definitely a learning process with this stuff. Then again, one's wallet would appreciate it if we forego that and just listened to the music.

My 3 Schiit headphone amps definitely go from less clear to beyond crystalline (Fulla2, Asgard 3, Mjolnir 3) and then there's my MagPi that is just off by itself, groovin' in a completely different way.

I need everyone to tell their favorite BBQ food truck to go sign up for Allentown's Mayfair. It's the only chance I get to really see which is better, NC or TX (where's KS in this fight?)

As with technical details we know nothing about, we can only surmise and guess about the move. And I'd imagine politics are even more delete-worthy than errant technical posts.
Nah, no BBQ in CA. Least, none worth talking about.

The world revolves around BBQ and has since the first hominid discovered how well fire and a gazelle went together.

Monkeys do like fermented fruit juice... maybe I have the precedence flipped?

Remember how I said I was cranky because I hadn't listened to music in 4 days?
Well, that "holiday" has been extended because the NUC I had Roon Core running on seems to have died. (also, it's my DHCP and DNS server so entire network was kaput).

Days like this, as a software engineer, I agree with Jason, no software is the best software....

Awesome. Could not get into Ocean myself, but the rest, and the preceding Tone Poem I love.

You got any spare closet space you could share?
Unfortunately, my closet space suffered 50% shrinkage on a nearly instantaneous basis. How about boxes? Double wall, even. Will that help? 🤣
