...and as I'm sitting here listening, I am more and more blown away. This is incredible synergy - OG Aegir and a pair of DALI Oberon On-walls...

At least, in this room... with Yggy up front. <g>

p.s. - seriously, these speakers are crazy good.

Dali is like Schiit, affordable price, wonderful and musical sounding.

The Opticon MKII stand mounts are wonderful, it can reproduce the sound signature of the equipment, pair with Aegir OC, it is mellower, sweet, with Vidar it is starker... also play back the tonality of different DACs, I like it so much.
...and the On-walls are easy to install. You just put them on the wall.

I am totally happy with this setup in my office. Sometimes, I forget to work. :p

I'd like to give this 10 thumbs-up. I came to this song ("who the ph is Alice") via a Danish version by Bamses Venner and I think it's absolutely hilarious. Thanks for the reference. Now I need to find out more the Alice (Coltrane) everyone else is talking about.
I wonder what Volbeat would do with that song, in the best Danish way of course

Yes. It's actually very, very good. I am a bit blown away, as I got these Dali Oberon On-walls for a song... and they sound fantastic.

I should investigate Dali (actually Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries, so probably "DALI") for when I win the Lottery. <g>

Dali Spektor on my desk at work. Driven by a Rekkr. Lots of people have stopped by to hear them uninvited. The sound seems to attract people

I first heard Dali before they were available in the US at Yodobashi Camera in Kyoto. They were the second best speakers in the room, my opinion, after B&W

I have the Spektor 1 too, my first pair of Dali, still love it.

...don't forget "PRO-ject" vs. "prah-ject", too...

Don't forget the old saw "Oot and aboot" (for "out and about", a phrase meaning "here and there"). Toronto is pronounced "Trawna" or "Tah-rawna"

Visit the east coast, especially Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Each community has its own dialect and accent. The people from Lunenburg NS and surrounding areas sound like they could be from New England. Some people near Judique on Cape Breton Island, NS, have nearly the same accent as people from County Cork, Ireland. The next village or two up the road, Mabou and Inverness, will have different accents as well. Go further up Route 19 and the people of Cheticamp, Acadians, close relatives of the Louisiana Cajuns, and you hear a unique dialect of French/English/Gaelic with a touch of native Mi'kmaq. I've mostly lost my Cape Breton accent except when I'm tired (or, years ago, after a couple of glasses of wine) or when I visit. I was there for 3 months last Summer/Fall, and boy did my accent come back! Scottish Gaelic is still extensively spoken and has influenced the regional and local dialects. Cape Breton and Newfoundland used to be fairly isolated and insular, but with increased mobility and better roads (seriously), satellite and cable TV, Internet, etc., the uniqueness of the language and culture is slowly getting diluted and lost.

The trip to Canada is to search for my Foster parent (sponsor) and lays a wreath. Our family is total strangers to them and vice versa... too bad that the Foster father already passed away, can only see and hug his wife and met their kids. At 2009, PLAN return to HK, I became a regular sponsor

I’ve been trying to find an affordable WE 396A that tests as new, but no luck, yet.
I got mine off of eBay. It cost around $75 and it tested well. It was a treat and I get to enjoy it over and over again. Another tube that is supposed to be stellar is the Tesla 6CC42 pinched waist w/ D getter. I saw that for around $90 but I'm happy with the WE 396A.

Care to rate the Rekkr/Spektor 1 pairing? is that good enough for near field listening?

Well, there's always the spouse works from home exception, which means even if the intended recipient is at work and there's someone at home to sign for the package, it will still be 1 day later than projected.
My reverse psychology seems to have worked. BY NOT expecting FedEX to deliver Aegir until one day after its ETA, it may have ensured that it will be delivered per the originally stated ETA. :D

* Makes sense, since I have a board meeting tonight and will have to work until about 8 PM.
** I know. I know. It ain't delivered yet.
