Janus Filter, Impossible Filter, Synchronicity Filter, Unity Filter
Well, Janus is a limnal deity and a Norse limnal deity is Gna. I like the idea of calling it the Gina Filter :)

Thanks for the welcome but I have been here for a couple of years. Yet I just learned what Baldr means.
Learning something new keeps our old brains functioning--dumbass me thought it was a character from Game of Thrones, or Lord of the Rings...He is a member of the Tribe,

As I turn the pot, there is a region that turns "roughly" with additional, random spots of additional friction. Before and after that patch, it's very smooth with a constant amount of friction. It's barely noticeable if you rotate the knob quickly. However, if you turn it very slowly, it's quite obvious to the touch. Again, as of today, it doesn't affect sound quality. DeoxIt has been a fixture in the toolboxes of amateur radio operators and electronics techs for years so I wondered about its feasibility here.

Please notify Schiit with the model and serial number. Their new tracking system will total complaints and point them to future problems.

We saw this years ago and it was tracked back to the component - wire manufacturer and an incomplete heat treatment procedure. It left the wire too soft and the wiper would dig into the windings, eventually "smearing" the windings and dropping the resistance.

I assume Jason would want to check on the "problem" before it becomes a major problem.

In Automotive "recalls" - problems are tracked and if they become big enough, the warranty is extended on the part, if it is not life critical.

Doubtful. See where our ™ is located? We're not claiming "Unison," we're claiming "Unison USB." And if I'm wrong, we change the name. No huge deal. It's not like we're going to try to license it to everyone or anything. I just wanted a name that wasn't impersonal like "Gen 7" or "208SUX" or "TE9871."
I realize I'm days late on this, but "Unison" makes me think of "Unisom"...the sleep aid.

Good idea - will do! In the off chance Schiit wants to take a look at it, I'm not sure I'll want to and be without my baby! :)

I go every morning after a cup of coffee.
You must just stand around a lot then since they are only open Thursday through Sunday.

I'm debating what cans to bring for demo with Rag 2. Leaning toward HE-6 or K1000. Does the Schiitr currently have the HD800 in the house, or is it on the road?
