I think he means in terms of availability, as a lot of people on here had to wait a while to get one, although now the updated model is shipping I dunno if you can just order and receive without delay.

There is still a 1 to 2 month wait for the Arrow 2G's ... reportedly, the designer has some more help building now so he expects the turn around to improve.

I just got my own Arrow 2G in a few days ago; I waited for nearly four months. In of it all, though, very much worth it. Brilliant bit of gear. And contrary to some opinions, I prefer the S:flo 2 line out into the Arrow over the standard headphone out. Line out sounds cleaner to my ear, less 'grain' in the highs and overall a more laid back presentation (darkish compared to the HO) which when amp'd sounds really really nice. Same great soundstage on both outputs but I find they differ significantly in some ways, especially in high frequency performance.

Also, I really dig the new leather case that Nationite is providing for the S:flo 2. Looks cool and smells real good too. LOL. Also, the S:flo fits very snugly in this case, thereby not falling out randomly like can happen with the more loose fitting velour case, which, in the end, is gonna help with accidental drops and what not.

Oh yeah. The Arrow amp mounts real nice on the smooth side of the leather case, too.

;-)

Yum. Yum. Yum.

Ditto, I find the bass more controlled and detailed as well.  The LO was such an obvious step up to me I never went back to HO after that.

Looks like the Arrow can fit in one of those S:Flo2 case as well.

That's a nice case. I'm actually using the leather case that came with the HJE900s and fits in nicely, but I made the lace more practical by getting rid of one and using a silder to fit it snugly when needed.

I'm primarily using my Shure SE530 IEM's as it's a "portable" rig, after all. That said, the Arrow amp drives AKG701 very well (also have read online that it does great with higher impedance cans like the 300ohm HD650's). Really nice bit of gear if you don't mind the waiting list.

I realize this is not the 701 forum or the Arrow forum for that mater.
I keep hearing that people use portable amps with the 701's. I just can't imagine that it has enough current for something like the 701. I have the 701 and so far the M-stage is the best with these. I also have the ALO Rx and it is nowhere near the sound you get through the M-stage.
Have you heard the 701 with a high current desktop amp (ie. M-Stage or even the Meir Corda head five) how does the arrow compare?
I would love something portable that could drive the 701.

Don't get me wrong ... it's not as good as the AKG701's out of my Raptor amp or my roommates Woo 6 SE ... such a feat would be well nigh impossible. But for a portable, it does an outstanding  job of making the AKG's begin to sing. And the bass boost circuit totally awesome with the AKG's.

One prominent reviewer of the Arrow (did a review a bit back on Anythingbutipod and his reference can was the 300ohm HD650's ... and he had nothing but good things to say.

It's a wickedly potent portable. I mean *strangely* potent. With any cans other than the AKG701's (Shure SRH840's, Grado GS1000, etc. that I have here) I never take it off of it's default setting for "gain" or "impedance" ... but with the  AKG's I find it performs better at the higher gain setting.

Anyway ... with the S:flo 2 ... and speaking strictly of purely portable use/headphones ... I simply can't find anything to dislike about the machine.

Hi guys, I bit the bullet and ordered the Teclast T51.

It's been six days since my order, and now they send me an email saying they'd rather not ship to Indonesia due to "asian games"(?) whatever the he|| that is.  So they're sending it to australia instead and I'll be back there to receive it in a couple weeks.

I have to minimize my dap collection so I'm selling a Hippo gumstick soon. PM me if you want a Hippo.
