bass is not tightest. its rather thick. though it slams hard.
also I found it to lack in sub bass area compared to akg q701. though I did listen to q701 on much better amp.

i am a bargain hunter so I almost never buy a newly announced product.

currently rotating my present hps and waiting to get a good deal on either t90 or shure srh 1840. I intend to pair them with good tube amp for end game setup. untill then possibly no more hps hopefully.

Well, suffice to say, neither am I!

And good luck to you finding your right headphone of choice! Hope you reach your end game setup soon. Would definitely visit your place after that!

And speaking of good deals, I'll most probably be making a trip to the US in April. Visiting relatives, mainly in California and New York. If anyone knows of good deals or stores in those two states, please do let me know. Any and all help is appreciated!

Having owned various types, I am coming around to the conclusion that there are very few headphones that beat out a well-made electro-dynamic headphone with large drivers and good damping.

Looks like someone might have started doing his research

Wonder if they'd have one at their store for demo. Would be mighty interesting, that.

Is this better than Astell and Kern AK100 MK2 which costs 51,200?

Anyway its nice to see Cowon and iRiver stay in the market with new offerings. Have been a fan of both DAPs. Wish them all the best! I would like to try the Plenue 1 as well if possible but I see no chances of that happening here in Banagalore...dont know of any dealer.
