Just curious since i want to buy dap which is on my budget. I have two options now. Both preloved and cost the same: xduoo x3 & fiio m3k. Can you compare both DAP? sound wise, file support, interface, and durability.

Hi,1. Can i insert a 512GB Micro SD card ?
2. How is the battery life with the newest version ? i(i heard the stock firmware has MUCH better battery life)
3.How can i install other themes on my X3II ?
I use my X3 every night when I sleep. Love the buttons for closed eye control. Also love the fact that when I press the power button and turn it on, the last track continues playing right where it was playing when it last shut down (possible via rockbox).
Anyway, the headphone jack is acting up. The slightest wiggle and it loses proper contact and the sound goes down the tubes. I have to carefully jiggle it to get it contacting properly, but it doesn't last.
I have tried cleaning it with contact cleaner, but that didn't fix it.
Has anyone tried replacing the headphone jack?
Can anyone recommend a similar player that fits the below requirements?:
- relatively cheap
- SQ at least as good at the rockbox'd X3
- buttons
- starts playing track at proper spot upon startup
Thanks!

If you have a soldering iron, you could replace the headphone jack on the circuit board.
I have the exact same problem with my old X3
But i really used it very hard at work and it was very sturdy for years, look:
I even expanded quite dangerously the battery life More than doubled...
First i wanted to replace the battery but the closest i found was to big so i just added it...
Worked perfectly.
Concerning the jack...
I thought about soldering in a new one but ended up bying the X3II
Its even better than X3 i can highly recommend it. Even better sound, Bluetooth works
flawlessly, display brightness is more than iphone even. Resolution is decent.
Can be rockboxed and you can use a 512 GB Samsung micro SD Card with
the STOCK FIRMWARE (as i found out!)
EVERYTHING just works perfectly. Very good that they went with hiby because
you can for example use bluetooth headphones, leave the device in your bag and
choose songs with your iphone because it has bidirectional bluetooth.
Audioquality is absolutly great with bluetooth i was surprised!
I bought it on Banggood because its the cheapest....
Right now its 42 OFF... If you go this route then better be quick, because only 4 days left...

If I had a soldering iron... and if I knew how to use it!
The X3II seems pretty good! Surprised they went with Hiby, and bluetooth etc - but that's great stuff.
For day use, I use the Radsone ES100 bluetooth receiver (with my Samsung S8), so I feel set in that regard. My X3 sits under my pillow for "music while falling asleep" purposes, so the X3II would be overkill. Also the X3II costs more than I'm hoping to pay (I'm hoping to find something in the $50-$100 range).
Thanks for the suggestion though! If it was less than $100, I'd have a hard time resisting it.
