ok thanks!
i just wondered because i didn't do the 11. step (select "apply update from SDcard" -> The Firmware 1.6.0 containing cwm and rockbox dualboot app will be flashed)

one last question (i know it doesn't belong here): how do i get cover art to the player? im using mp3tag - sometimes it works, sometimes not...is there a trick?

i could solve my cover problem :)

are there any themes for the dx50 with the latest fm1.6.0?
sadly these seem not to work...

In addition to what he says cholero.

You have to look at than for screen 320x240 pixels. Search the Themes for Cowon D2, which has same screen iBasso.

I have tried many and have worked.

I don't embed my artwork into my songs. All I do is put the artwork in the folder with the songs and name the artwork "cover", (w/o the quotes)

Sound Unleashed "Hi-fi sound"? Isn't this just some kind of added built in EQ setting? Why not just include it as an optional EQ setting, instead of a baked in non-linear setup? One of the primary features of rockbox is how it doesn't color the sound with baked in sound coloring, but does offer a very full featured EQ. Just include an EQ preset, but don't shove this arbitrary coloration down our throats. Or add an option to turn it off.

Edit: sorry, don't really mean to sound so harsh. I realize that I don't have to use your build, and that many people will probably like it. And that the nature of Rockbox is also about customizability, and that most rock boxed platforms have many modded builds. So never mind... keep up the experimentation! I'm not really into this modded version, but perhaps the next one you do will knock my socks off!

What exactly is the level of SQ added with SU rockboxed? Like sduck said is it just a custom eq? What not just publish the eq settings instead of releasing a full build. It will just add more confusion/build to juggle.

Nope. It's not some kind of added built in EQ setting or any kind of DSP. Audio stream is bit perfect.
This fix applies for proper PCM sound device initialization(using HiFi params). It provides ability to sound like WM8740 player instead of generic cheap smartphone.
You talking about "uncolorized" rockbox but it's just a last part in dx50 audio processing path. There is rockchip android platform here. Android devices by default not intended to playing HiFi music, so iBasso team developed own android HAL layer (libParticle*.so) for "DX" devices.
You're missing a lot of information while talking about "color the sound".

Nature of rockbox remained a virgin. See above. It's not a new setting, it's just fixing a bug.
All my future versions will include this fix. So sorry, there is no special version for you.

Are you talking about a fix in Mango or Rockbox itself? Rockbox does not use the lib files that Mango use. It has it's own DSP libraries and communicates directly to the DAC via alsa drivers.
