no, i know that this iem doesn't have much bass, but to be not harsh the volume need to be very little, but like this i can't even hear the clarity... But i only have the stock tips... Theu are burning in with music..

keep in mind a lot of folks are waiting for the imminent release of new Vsonic VSD5/7... but these XE800s are hard to beat at this price... IMHO

my comment is made in the context of this XE800... where it shares sound signature and provenance with GR07 family and where Vsonic IEM of similar tech have a similar SS and VSD5/7 are the newest (as yet unreleased) offerings from Vsonic. +_+

The XE800 have probably become my favorite sub $100 iem this year. Can't wait to see how the vsd5/7 turns out, if they turn out like the XE800 then I will probably love em.

Well, considering the XE800 is a modified GR07 and the VSD7 is being tuned by the people that made the GR07, I'd say you'll probably love it.
