[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret
Feb 1, 2018 at 8:16 AM Post #3,601 of 3,824
I prefer the MH750 though - the MH1C cable is just horrendous. Thickest and stiffest cable I've had. Get the legit MH750, the fake one sounds like a dirty mess - overly bassy and muddy, and the legit MH750 has similar sound characteristic like the MH1C.

Note: if the MH750 is dirt cheap like 5 dollars, 80% likely they will be fake, hell I bought two of those. The real one costs 15 dollars and it has black filters instead of a white-dot-over-black filter. Tried to remove the filter from the fake ones and it didn't do any good....not even burn-in with heavy white noises/pink noise to rid the dirty bass.

So are you saying that this listing is likely to be fake?

Even though all reviews are positive, and there other listings for similar amounts.

I didnt pick that one, but you should ask the seller to show how the filter look like. The fakes I bought were in that price range, heck I even bought two and they were bad-sounding, not MH1c sounding like.

This is the seller i bought from by the name milkyzone https://m.ebay.com/itm/Original-Son...for-Xperia-B-/370876451774?txnId=994919114024

Oh okay, there's so many at that price though and from different sellers. There can't be so many fakes out there lol

Any way to tell the fakes apart from the real thing apart from the different filters?

None i can tell beside the filter. You could prove it buying the $5 vs the $15 i showed you

Omg.

Truth be told, this is now my third pair of the MH1C lol, just couldn't miss out on the smooth silky and laid back sound signature it produces.

But yeesh that cable though, I love that it doesn't tangle up but it's way too stiff and actually produces significant microphonics.

Hello, has anyone bought these from here? The seller seems to have good feedback, not sure if they are genuine. Thanks.

I bought my 3rd pair from this seller: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Headset-Earp...3-L39h-Xperia-Z3-Z-Ultra-Z1-L55T/221900699810

Got it within a month via DHL and it's 100% genuine (I don't think there are any counterfeit ones). It's also the cheapest among all the sellers.

As i mentioned recently they're available fulfilled by Amazon UK for £14.99. From a design point of view that's their TRUE worth maybe a a little more taking into account their quite pleasing sound IMO

Don't know whether they will ship to US or Canada etc though

Don't fret too much; its not the end of the world if you can't acquire the MH1. I'm sure there are plenty of decent sounding earphones that are more ergonomic than these :)

So glad I found this thread. I have these headphones but moved on from Sony phones to HTC. I tried it with my HTC phone and it didn't work properly. Can someone signpost me or tell me a link or brand name for an adaptor that will allow me to use this with my HTC 10 phone?
thats really dumb. why would anyone need an adapter for regular earphones?
