The right 'phone of my MH1Cs has drastically less volume suddenly. This occured when just resealing them while using them. Nothing unusual happened and upon looking them over I can't see a problem.

I do use them at the gym a lot. Moisture maybe?

Probably. Let them rest for a few hours and they should be fine.

You were right. They're fine now.

I've never had a volume or sound problem with my MH1Cs. I've heard a lot of people talk about it so it must be a common thing. I've also sweat while wearing them, I guess I just got lucky.

Hmm...

Having picked up a Sony MW1 bluetooth adapter, I have listened to the pair of MH1s included, and - I agree with the concensus of this thread (albeit I haven't read all pages!) - that - as a giveaway product these are a steal!!

...So much so, that from a link on the first page (refresher - here) - at £8.95 each, I couldn't resist ordering another couple of pairs!!

These really do make me question the need to keep carrying around the Monster Tributes - Don't get me wrong, the Tributes are better - but, 30 times better???

;o)

Since you have the MW1 - don't update to the latest 'E' firmware just yet. It has some bug and Sony is working for a bugfix now.

+10000000000 to this. It is a VERY serious bug -- choppy sound, loss of signal etc.

I have both and it depends on what sound signature you prefer. I like the GR02 BE better as it has a bit more punch and the highs are more detailed and crisp but if you like a more laid back (smoother) top end and more of a rumble than punch, you may like the MH1C. Here was my full comparison:

I have both IEM's.
I have a very similar impression of the 2 as well, but I much preferred the laid back signature of the Sony.  Every time I put on the GR02 BE I had to turn down the sound because it was just too much for my ears.

I have been thinking for a while to recable them and today i have finally done it. It wasn't easy but I think its not bad for someone who has never used a solder before :p
