Suman, can you please tell me which ear phones under 700 INR will give the best audio output for 16000-21000Hz frequency range?

you sure you can hear those frequencies ? i hardly can hear beyond 18k , still , any way , mostly every phone loses juice when it comes to 10khz-20khz region , still i think es18 will do better then many at this region , cuz the drop is not significant , you can opt for she3900 too , why do you need this frequency ? which instruments can go up there ? still , enjoy .
you know , even the mighty er-4p bites dust there . ones that will get you there is monprice mep 8323 and the hisound crystal .

It's not for music, I need to work with ultrasonics on Audacity.

I also thought about es18 but then I found out this review http://www.head-fi.org/t/598627/review-soundmagic-es18-measured in which the first graph says that the es18 doesn't response well to frequencies greater than 10KHz.

nothing does , nothing , if you can get yourself an hisound crystal or re-400 , you might get better but believe me , not even er-4p can do good at this region of 16-21khz . can you not see that spike towards the end , thats as good as you get at this price . or buy yourself an crystal from hisound . under 2000rs , nothing can do things at this region , no earphone is capable of that . try some more graphs of phones around this price .

Hey Suman...

I have tested the following 4 headsets recently..

SoundMagic MP 21 - Fragile but sounds very good.. a tad better than es18

Panasonic TCM 190 - Great looks, good sound quality.. wonderful mic..

Panasonic TCM 120 - HJE 120 + Mic

Panasonic TCM 125 - HJE 125 + Mic

Now, i am looking for the following headphones... do let me know if you have tried em

1. Sony MDR-XB30EX

2. Sony MDR EX110 LP

3. Sennheiser CX 180 Earphone

4. I know you hate em, but how about SkullCandy Ink'd.. the review said its great for bass.. what do you think? (http://headphonesfreak.blogspot.com/2014/08/skullcandy-inkd-headset-review-bass-at.html)

  also Sennheiser CX 275s

drop the xb30ex dry wooly bass , okay mids and highs , look at denon ah-c100 , drop the ex110lp they are dull and lack good definition lac bass okay vocals and okay highs , cx180 and ink'd are just bass cannons so opt for tekfusion twin woofer they are better when burnt for 50 hrs and up . cx275 are okay buy at this price you can do the denon ah-c100 , try them man , they are better then any thing you have listed . and please no skulls or urban ears please , no .

i have had all you mentioned and mp21 is okay , not better then es18 , 21 lacks definition detail and resolution but has a coherent sound that hooked you up , a soothing bass loaded laid back signature can be bested by twinwoofers with a bit more details and deeper bass .

wait.. i read your review on FK..

then there was no ah-c100 , and ah-c100 is far far better , has controlled bass , better mids and vocals and highs too , has far better cable too . and is total paisa wasool . and is way better then xb30ex and is par with phones like cc51 if not better . but they are bright and light in sig , notes are sharp and shallow and are not as cohesive as mp21 .
